   A farmer wanted to sell some little dogs. He coloured a sign (指示牌) and

put it in his garden. As he was putting up the sign, a little boy walked up to his

fence (栅栏).

“Sir,” he said, “I want to buy a dog. Can I just have a look?” asked the boy.

“Sure,” said the farmer. He opened the door and four little dogs ran out of

the doghouse quickly. The boy became excited.

Then, the little boy looked at another dog. This one was smaller. It moved slowly and tried to be with the others.

“I want that one,” the boy said, pointing (指着) to the little dog.

The farmer said: “Son, you don’t want that dog. He can’t run and play with you like the other dogs.”
