Badaling:

Mutianyu

    It is an hour farther away from Beijing than Badaling.  This is a favor-the extra travel time means that fewer vacation tour groups will travel here.  This site is wall is clearly steeper than Badaling's. However, like Badaling, Mutianyu has a cable car（缆车） for tourists who choose not to walk up the wall.

Simatai

    You must travel yet another hour to reach the site from Beijing compared with Mutianyu  and, therefore, you will meet even fewer vacationers than at Mutianyu.  Some of the wall lies on high and narrow mountain ridges (脊). Because it is especially steep and there is no cable car, I don’t suggest the site to those not in good physical condition.

Shixiaguan

    This is the closest part to Beijing. The Shixiaguan part is still being rebuilt is open to the public. You can view it as driving to the Badaling part. You can climb it but remember that the Shixiaguan wall sits on a long, very steep slope(斜坡).
