   Firstly, when you visit a Chinese family, you’d better bring some gifts. In China, it is usually considered impolite to visit someone with nothing in hand. So, you can buy some fresh fruits or a box of milk. What’s more, table manners are also of great importance. We Chinese like to treat our guests with many delicious dishes. When at table, you should not begin eating first, but follow the host or the senior one. Sometimes, the host will help you with some dishes, which is different from western traditions, and you should show your appreciation.

   All in all, just as the old saying goes, “when in Rome, do as Romans do.”
