Dear Headmaster,

     Hearing that our school will be expanded, I am really excited. I am writing to you to share some of my suggestions on the expansion of our school.

From my perspective, an advanced gym equipped with various sports facilities should be built. The following are my reasons accounting for my suggestions.

To begin with, faced with the problem of over-weight and short-sight, I used to be worried about my current situation. I, then, took the doctor’s advice to exercise for half an hour every day. What excites me most is that this is really of great help to my health. Although learning is the vital thing for our students, physical health is also a must. We can relax ourselves and be active in mind by exercising regularly. It is obvious from my experience that exercising can relieve the heavy burden on us and make us physically and mentally healthy. Only in good health can we learn more efficiently.

What’s more, the facilities in the old gym should be replaced with the up-to-date ones in greater variety. I often hear my classmates complain about the facilities with a lot of faults or the boredom when using them. So it’s time to replace them and the students will be motivated to take a more active part in sports.   

I would appreciate it very much if my suggestions would be adopted. I am sure that such a gym will be of great help to us students.
