Kidshaveuncontrolledimaginationsandarefullofoptimismfor...

Kids have uncontrolled imaginations and are full of optimism for what the future might hold. When they were asked about how robots might help them learn and work better, they gave the following answers.

Robots can make learning fun. Unsurprisingly, 75% of the robots dreamed up by the kids were patient, emotionally supportive, and could make learning fun. One 9-year-old German boy said, “When I get home, my robot helps me with my homework.       36        But when they see that I have already finished my homework and done everything correctly, they are glad that I have made friends with the robot. The robot provides the patience that humans just don’t have.”

37        Dirty dishes? No problem. A quarter of kids surveyed imagined that their robots could deal with chores(家庭杂务) and boring work so that they might be freed up to focus on learning and creative activities.

Robots are our friends. Most robots thought up by kids had natural social intelligence and have plenty of knowledge to share.      38        One 10-year-old French boy described his dream robot, “ He creates books for me to read, and we play with toy cars.       39        I can tell him anything, and he gives me advice.”

Robots are cool. I think we can all agree that is already true.        40       An 8-year-old girl in the U.S. imagined that her robot was really smart and everyone liked to talk to her.

A. He keeps my secrets.

B. Robots can do the dirty work.

C. Robots have already done better than humans in this field.

D. The intelligence of robots makes them cool in social settings(社交场合).

E. Robots carry them meals, notes, mail, waste, dressing and so on.

F. My mother and father come in and say ‘no video games now, homework first’.
